ClearView Financial Group collects only information reasonably needed to respond to inquiries, evaluate career interest, and—through an approved secure process—help a consumer explore insurance options. We do not sell personal or health information.
1. Who this notice covers
This notice describes the practices of ClearView Financial Group and Rod Yaldaei in connection with this website, consultation requests, career inquiries, and insurance-related intake. Carrier websites, carrier applications, and third-party portals have their own privacy notices and security practices.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number, location, communication preference, and message content.
- Career information: occupation, licensing status, résumé, professional history, and information you provide about yourself.
- Insurance and financial information: coverage goals, existing coverage, beneficiary or household information, mortgage information, and other facts relevant to a requested insurance review.
- Health information: age, height, weight, tobacco use, medical conditions, medications, treatment history, and related underwriting information—but only through an approved secure intake or carrier application.
- Technical information: basic server, browser, security, and diagnostic information generated when the website is used.
Do not send Social Security numbers, driver's-license numbers, financial-account credentials, or medical details through the general contact or career form.
3. How information is collected
We collect information directly from you, from an authorized representative, through website forms, during conversations, through secure insurance-intake systems, and from carriers or service providers when needed to complete a transaction you request.
4. How we use information
- Respond to questions and schedule consultations.
- Understand requested coverage and identify potentially suitable carrier options.
- Support quoting, underwriting, application processing, policy issuance, and policy servicing.
- Evaluate and respond to career inquiries.
- Maintain records, prevent fraud and abuse, secure the website, and comply with legal and regulatory duties.
- Improve our services using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.
We do not use health information for unrelated advertising, and we do not make a decision solely through automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. When information may be shared
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Insurance carriers and reinsurers you ask us to consider for quoting, underwriting, application review, issuance, and servicing.
- Service providers that support secure forms, hosting, storage, communications, document processing, fraud prevention, compliance, or professional services under confidentiality and security obligations.
- Government, regulatory, or legal recipients when disclosure is required or permitted by law, subpoena, court order, examination, or to protect rights and safety.
- A successor organization in a merger, acquisition, or business transfer, subject to applicable privacy obligations.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or disclose nonpublic health information except with authorization or as otherwise permitted for insurance functions and legal compliance.
6. Health-information authorization
Before health information is transmitted through a live intake, we will request an electronic authorization identifying the information involved, the recipients, the purpose, the authorization period, and how it may be revoked. A typical authorization remains valid for no longer than 24 months unless revoked earlier. Revocation does not affect actions already taken in reliance on a valid authorization and may prevent a carrier from completing a quote or application.
The medical questionnaire is available only through ClearView's dedicated encrypted portal. Answers remain in the applicant's live session until the authorization is completed and the applicant selects Submit securely. Submitted sensitive fields are encrypted for storage and made available only to authorized staff.
7. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain required insurance and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal or regulatory obligations. Our current working retention targets are:
- General consultation inquiries: up to 12 months after the most recent interaction.
- Unsuccessful career inquiries and résumés: up to 12 months after final disposition, unless a shorter period is requested or required.
- Secure medical intake that does not proceed to a carrier: up to 12 months after submission, unless a legal hold or other documented obligation applies.
- Insurance transaction and policy-service records: for the period required by applicable law, carrier obligations, and legitimate servicing needs.
- Security and diagnostic records: only for the period reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.
A legal hold, regulatory examination, active dispute, or continuing client relationship may require a longer period. When retention is no longer justified, information is deleted, securely destroyed, or de-identified according to the capabilities of the applicable system.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. These include encrypted network transmission, access restrictions, least-privilege practices, protected service credentials, provider security controls, backups where appropriate, and review of systems that process sensitive information.
No internet system can be guaranteed completely secure. Medical information must not be sent through ordinary email or the general website forms. If we determine that a security incident requires notice, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.
9. Access, correction, deletion, and revocation
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, withdraw a consent, or revoke a health-information authorization where applicable. Submit a written request through the contact form and include “Privacy Request” in the message. Do not include medical details or identity-document numbers in the initial request. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information that applicable law permits or requires us to keep.
Maryland residents may also have rights under applicable Maryland privacy law. Where a statutory appeal process applies, a denied request may be appealed by replying to our written decision with the words “Privacy Appeal.”
10. Cookies and analytics
The site may use essential technologies needed for security, delivery, and basic operation. We will update this notice and provide any required choices before adding advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral tracking.
11. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 18 through the website. A parent or legal guardian should contact us if they believe a child submitted information.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date above will be revised when a material change is published. Questions or privacy requests may be submitted through our contact form.
